Research Triangle Park (RTP) Real Estate

The Research Triangle gets its name from Research Triangle Park and three Tier 1 research universities—Duke University, North Carolina State University and University of North Carolina Chapel Hill—located only minutes apart.
Centrally located between New York and Miami, the Research Triangle Region is easily accessible by Raleigh-Durham International Airport, six regional airports, two ports, and multiple interstates that span from Florida to NewYork and North Carolina to California.
Commuting around the Triangle
The Research Triangle Region and beyond is connected through a series of US Highways and Interstates, with I-40 being the primary connector. I-40 is currently undergoing construction as part of N.C. Department of Transportation’s Fortify Rebuild Project.
In addition to the Raleigh beltline (I-440), a second “outer loop” (I-540) that will enable easier travel in and around the Triangle is now more than halfway complete. Longer term and bigger picture, public transportation including buses, light rail and commuter rail, will play a significant role in our region’s connectivity.
